Large Hanging Christmas Tree

Using a ceramic mould, this unique tree has been made by the 'casting' method. 
 
I used small red glass murrine for baubles, carefully placed, before adding a mixture of green glass granuels. The mould was then topped up with clear glass pieces and fired in the kiln to a temperature of around 795 degrees C.
 
When cooled, it was cleaned, silver wire added and finished with a red satin ribbon for hanging.
 
A statement ornament for a large Christmas tree, or you could hang it on a door, window or wall in a smaller space.
 
A substantial size being 20 cm tall x 14 cm at widest point.
