a bit about Maggie
I'm Maggie, based in Portstewart on the beautiful Causeway Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a designated World Heritage site in Northern Ireland.
I make small batch and one of a kind decorative fused glass art, gifts and Christmas decorations.
My inspiration comes from nature and the coastal environment of my local area.
Beginning my glass journey many years ago in Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart, prior to that I made ceramics and have dabbled in painting and drawing.
Creativity has been a huge part of my life, but it's only since moving to this area in 2008 that I’ve had more time to fully indulge in my artistic side!
My home studio is where I design and create. I find the process absorbing and therapeutic, a time to switch off and indulge in the magic of the glass.
