Fused Glass Sailboat

A quirky take on a classic sailboat.
 
Made with a vibrant peacock blue glass, hand cut in the shape of a sail. Edges smoothed on a grinding machine, washed and cleaned before adding transparent frit, (small glass granules) and a sprinkle of rainbow dichroic particles for a touch of sparkle.
 
Fired in the kiln to a controlled temperature which retains wonderful texture.
 
Once fired, the glass is secured into a bespoke, boat shaped oak wooden stand.
A perfect nautical inspired gift, will sit on a shelf, windowsill, table or just about anywhere in your home, especially lovely when backlit with natural light.
