Large Starfish - Teal - FusedGlass

As a glass artist, we always have leftover pieces of glass in offcuts from other projects.

Chopping these up and placing them into ceramic moulds is a great way to create something new and exciting from something old.
 
This is a statement starfish which can be hung on a wall, window or set on a table as a decoration.
 
Shades of green and blue glass have been placed in a starfish shaped ceramic mould and fired at a high temperature in the kiln.
 
The resulting effect is textured on one side and smooth and shiny on the other.
This would look well in a bathroom, sun room or a nautical themed home, an unusual one of a kind gift.
 
Finished with a white cord for hanging.
 
19.5 cm at widest point, approx. 2 cm thick in the middle.
